Bowling for Dollars

In addition to all the other bets open for the Superbowl, there should have been an over/under for mentions of “our American heroes” – the conquerors of Iraq, and erectile dysfunction.

BrooklynDodger missed the first half, and watched the second in a bar, so it had captioning but the sound wasn’t clear. The Budweiser "troops walking through the airport commercial," the Dodger’s not sure there were any spoken words. For sure the troopers were way older than who you see shipping out in Raleigh Durham airport, their packs were a little weird, and they weren’t wearing hats or any insignia, or buzz cuts, or dress uniforms. So, the Dodger isn’t sure how he would score it for mentions.

There was one Cialis ad in the second half. Not nearly as hot at the Livitra ad, maybe even a rerun of last years – an older dude and dudess holding hands in his and hers bathtubs on the hillside were certainly familiar. I believe that mentioned ED twice, so if you bet the under on 3 you would have won.

Regarding the game, it’s so rare two northern teams play it’s hard to decide for whom to root [not so the conference championships.] In the end, it was Philadelphia beating the Giants in the mid-sixties, with Chuck Bednarik sitting on Frank Gifford, that swung the Dodger’s allegiance to the Patriots. [This is foggy, could not have been the league championship; maybe a conference play-off?]

How come the Lions don’t have any receivers that can get open, while even Patriots linebackers can get free in the end zone?
