Nathans Famous

It wasn't only dot coms that tanked. But maybe some of the tanked stocks came back. For sentimental reasons, BrooklynDodger invested in Brooklyn landmark Nathans, back when it was going public. The Dodger remembers buying a few shares at $9.00. Apparently, it opened at 10.25, went as highg as 12.00 in 1993, then it plunged to as low at maybe 2.50. That that point, it was a nearly 1 for 1 trade of shares for hotdogs. Then, starting in 2003, it started to come back, and as of Friday, July 15, is closed at 9.37.

The Dodger got his money back. Maybe heirloom hotdogs will be an heirloom stock
