BrooklynDodger figures there's an almost irreducible 30% of Americans who will support George Bush and the right wing agenda no matter what. Think about "what would a right wing thug do" and do that.

The CNN poll is scientific, not a cyber poll.

The Dodger was surprised that respondents giving the thug answer fell to 20%, actually 18% of those who admitted to having an opinion on torture of prisoners.

Maybe this is the power of picture - the Abu Graib pictures are surely torture, even if you think the people depicted ought to be tortured.

Nevertheless, some fraction to that 30% hard core thug support must have noticed a contradiction between what they said in the poll and GW's statement that "we don't torture."
